IT'S ALL ME

(Disclaimer: this is a piece I had written a long time ago so keep that in mind as you read, because I spoke of tests and all that.)

Do you know that it’s quite beautiful the number of little secrets you’re let in on while walking down busy hallways. Strolling purposefully beside and towards different pairs and groups of people, and you catch flitting pieces of their conversations like; “I just met that ..”, “how is your sister? Last time.. “, ” that our stupid lectu… “, ” that assignment, have you? …”, and so on. It doesn’t hold any significance until you sit with your friends and someone asks you, have you done that assignment? And suddenly your river bank of conversation breaks loose and you ask yourself, “why is everyone talking about that assignment today?” Not as if that’s the case, but your mind is likely to display it that way regardless.

Speaking of conversations I realize I have to relearn how to engage in those. These days I just feel exhausted and find it hard to keep conversations going. I’d rather just press my phone. And that’s bad, because I’m not trying to be socially awkward or inept, I just want some peace and quiet.

Sorry I’ve been away for so long, the tests got all jam-packed in a week and I needed some time to focus seriously. I hope you didn’t forget about me already. Also in the upcoming week I’m also going to be absent because of my semester exams too. So sorry in advance. I had intended to post this as my return piece but I really wanted to share my discovery with you, sorry that I just disappeared without proper explanation but in order to grow with me you must also adjust to how inconsistent I am with a lot of things. But I try anyway.
