IT’S A JUNGLE OUT HERE.

Hi there, it’s me again. Today I’m reporting from Ilorin, the shege head quarter of Nigeria, for those of you in more timid states you’ve probably been given the impression that we are in the rainy season by your scared weather that won’t tell you the truth. But ilorin fears no man and it doesn’t hold back on the truth either, hence the revelation that we are not in the rainy season after all but the sun is scorching hot and relentless. It’s a jungle out here. There’s no light, and the heat whispers through the sweat on my skin, unfortunately I always get rashes during heat period so at the moment I claw at my skin like a rabid dog, (I don’t know if rabid dogs scratch themselves but who could blame them if they did?)

I have always had this terrible fear anytime someone’s birthday approaches, because for some reason if I see no one else post birthday “accolades or wishes I feel as if I have the wrong date. Although I have decided, so what if I have the wrong date? I will wish them a happy birthday regardless and if it turns out to be wrong I will apologize and say “oh I’m sorry,I’ve been trying to keep the date for so long I think I ended up mixing it up.” Because at the end of the day life is indeed that simple and I have neither the strength nor the will to make it anymore complicated. Most people in my life can testify to that.

(N/B: for those of you who are not Nigerians, Shege means stress like inexplicable amounts of stress).

I really hope you enjoyed spending these few precious moments with me, if you did remember to like this post and share your thoughts with me in the comments section. Çiao.
