EGG-INDUCED MADNESS.

I was watching a cooking video just now and “the guy” was cooking for a crowd (at least that’s what he said) so he kept cracking eggs and pouring them into an air fryer. But what struck me was how easily he cracked the eggs. I am not joking when I say I can count the number of eggs I have cracked so effortlessly or that didn’t end up riddled with shells, since I learned to cook. For some reason eggs don’t like me or at least they like their shells more. I have tried breaking in half and pulling apart but that always spells disaster for me, eventually the method I stuck with was giving it a small crack and peeling the shells until there was a hole large enough for the yolk to freely pass through. Don’t laugh at me, it’s embarrassing but I can say I tried and it just didn’t work. I still don’t know if it’s a skill that some people have or if I am just terrible at cooking. I literally had to bite back the urge to write “the chef” instead of “the guy” above simply because of how gracefully he cracked those eggs. That brings me to the second half of this conversation.

Yesterday I was making potato porridge and for some reason, probably because of the gnawing hunger I felt, or because of my unhealthy habit of trying out untested cooking videos off of social media, I suddenly decided to crack an egg and poured it into the porridge (I almost cracked two, dear God. Sounds like I was possessed if you ask me) while I listened to the food bubble on the stove I kept asking myself, what the heck did I just do? Well In case you are wondering how it tasted, I can say for sure that while it was not enough to make me throw up, it certainly will not be added to my menu. (Lies! It was bad!)

I really hope you enjoyed this little peek into my day, if you did ensure to share with those you love. I hope you know you bring a smile to my face each second you take out of your day to read about my day so I hope this puts a smile on your face or eases your stress even if it’s for a second because you deserve every good thing. Bye then.
