Hi loveli, as promised I am back to tell you how I successfully dislocated my second elbow even though I could qualify as the least adventurous person one could possibly come across. I know I seem to start half of my sentences by refusing to accept the blame but in actuality this situation was technically beyond my control. I had just finished writing an exam for my secondary school leaving certificate if you’re not a Nigerian that’s called WASSCE, or NECO. Back to the story, I was done writing one of my paper (can’t remember the subject anymore) but it was raining and I was returning home with my brother, sister and friends, now while it is common knowledge that running in the rain could only reveal so many positive results, I couldn’t care less and ran to catch up with the group but didn’t quite get there before the patch of vibrant green carpet grass decided that the rain wasn’t enough to satisfy it and it also wanted a piece of my flesh. I slipped on the grass, and once again tried to use my hand to break my fall, but the only thing breaking was the hand itself the moment it touched the floor. I remember feeling a bit stupid and not wanting to pull anymore attention as everyone was crouched around me with worry on their faces, so I pretended not to be in pain. But if you’ve never dislocated a joint you should know that it’s a kind of sickly-sweet ache that makes you just want to curl up into a ball and withdraw from everything. Anyway, I successfully got home masking the pain until I stepped into my house, curled up on the couch and cursed all the decisions that had once again led up to that moment. As you would expect the pain grew worse but at least I got to avoid chores for a couple days, not as if I could do them anyway.
On to a more recent topic, today a lost phone got tracked to a class I was taking lectures in and the security officials came in to investigate and search everyone. First, I must confess I had a moments scare when I felt they might be dress-code enforcing officials (not as if the school takes it that seriously anyway, I’m just a weirdo who overthinks everything) and I currently have my hair done in red butterfly locs, really pretty but for a confrontation-hating damsel like me I sometimes feel worried about violating the school’s rules. Well the hair is not going anywhere anytime soon so I will just have to get used to being a red-haired rebel. Oh my God! I deviated so far, anyway the lost phone yeah, so as the search began an official found an unclaimed phone tucked away at the back of the class. Apparently the person with it probably wasn’t the owner and dropped when they thought they were about to get caught. A killing-two-birds-with-one-stone kinda moment. But unfortunately after the search the actual phone that had resulted in the search wasn’t found. I pray the owner won’t be too affected by the loss.
Well loveli, I really hope you enjoyed this little peek into my memory and day, if you did ensure to share with those you love. I hope you know you bring a smile to my face each second you take out of your day to read about my day so I hope this puts a smile on your face or eases your stress even if it’s just for a second because you deserve every good thing. Bye then.
